Jackson Memorial Hospital Nursing residency program

Nurses New Nurse

Published

Got a call to interview for the nurse residency program.

It's a 3 year contract.

More than any other hospital in Miami.

Makes me wonder how much difficulty the hospital has in keeping their nurses, maybe thats why their contract is so long & binding...

Has anyone interviewed or are currently in this residency program?

Any input would help.

when did they call you? I've been waiting for that call!

Interviews were this past week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Thanks for your answer.. how did the interview go? what did they ask you? was it a panel interview? did they hired you on the spot?

do you happen to have any info on the program?

because the person who called me didnt tell me anything.

i would like information before even accepting an interview.

If I were you, I would accept the interview. Even if you don't like the offer, you get an idea about the questions! The program is one of the best program for new grad in Miami. Yes you have to sign a contract! But it is not bad at all. If you want to go some place else, employer like rns from Jackson. It is like have an open door for the future!

I have been trying to find a job without luck for about 4 months now. StaRN program is good also but no better that Jackson. Even the pay and the benefits are better!

6 months for me!

got a call for a ppossible per diem job at a clinic.

will have to wait till monday if i hear back.

prefer that rather than a contract.

Yes 3 years! But the less you are going to find is 2 years! And you don't necessary have to stay in the same floor. You can go to another floor during those three long years. Best of all they pay for your classes! Tuition reimbursement!
