I'm currently a nursing student and I need help with an assignment. I need to interview a practicing RN. Please, if anyone wants to help me out you can PM me.

When I go to potential places of employement I actually insist on talking to a floor nurse there to see how things really are like! So I have a few suggestions for you!
Okay, typically I start with the basics...what type of nursing do you do? How long have you been a nurse? How long at this facility?
Then I get bolder...Give me a positive and negative about this facility? How do you handle the stress of this job (in facility and out of it)? If you can change one thing about this place, what would it be and why? Do you feel comfortable talking to management here? Do you see a lot of turn over here? What are the benifits and do you think they are just (as in health, medical, life, 401K...). Why do you stay at this facility vs changing to another?
Now these questions can easily be turned to Nursing in general, Personal Nursing styles and what not with a change of sentence structure or word. For example..."why do you stay at this facility vs changing..." to "why do you stay in nursing instead of other careers?". That way they can fit your reasons for questions (since I don't know what your interview is supose to achieve).
Hope that is helpful...
