A interesting teaching method...

I was reading a blog on the 30 freakiest commercials of 2010, this was one of them:

Super Sexy CPR

*Note this is probably NSFW (or around children)!

Interesting way to teach CPR huh? I am not sure whether I should be offended or laugh at the creative way to teach lifesaving techniques.

Definitely more motivating than Red Cross or American Hearts materials. I guess it was only a matter of time before someone did it. Gives me a lot of ideas, all of which would get me banned from this site.

Specializes in Cardiology and ER Nursing.

Probably just a "viral" ad for the lingerie and not an actual cpr site.

i should show this to my husband so he knows what to do if something were ever to happen to me.. it seems like it might be an effective teaching method..

The footnote on the website says:

"Now that we’ve got you interested in learning CPR and the abdominal thrust, go get properly certified by taking a class through one of the many certifying authorities in your local area."

The models are sexy, no doubt, however, when thinking of CPR, clinical death comes to mind and there's nothing sexy about death. I do think this makes an excellent training video, because the technique used was seriously flawed and it would be interesting to see how many mistakes people can identify after watching the video for the first time. 'checks one's ability to concentrate on the task at hand in the presence of distraction. ;)

I'll go, I'll go.....I don't whisper in the persons ear; I am tapping and clearly talking in a loud clear voice "Can you hear me!" etc... She cracked me up when she went in for the "whisper"........LOL.

did'nt observe rise and fall of chest during rescue breathing, went on to straddle patient, did not keep elbows locked and that horrific hand placement,
