How about a self awareness pill- one that makes everyone see themselves as they really are? We could improve on ourselves and find ways to stop accidently hurting others.

I chose the smart pill, because in my daily wanderings, it has come to my attention that the general population is sorely lacking this attribute. Also, if people were smart, they would be more peaceful, which in turn would make most more happy. The smart pill would prevent people from making ridiculous mistakes involving "chads" which remind of us the last presidental election. Thus making people more happy, and cascading down to a more honest government. A smart society will insure that people like Bush remain on the farm, and ugly guys like Kerry will have a fair shake. (I honestly suspect that many new voters (WHO really NEED A SMART PILL) will not vote for Kerry because he is frankly--ugly. A smart pill will cause people seeking enetertainment to turn off brain-candy like American Idol and Joe Millionaire, and will relate an interest in real political facts, as well as enabling historical events of import to be thoroughly digested. Of course the adverse affects of the smart pill could damage many industries as we now know them. Politics and corruption being the most positive of those damages, but other industries would be affected as well. The economy would most likely suffer, as intelligent persons would demand a fair economy, and the 5% of the rich and priveledged would be endangered as their consumers would find more creative ways to achieve and deliver the exact same services at reasonable and affordable alternatives. Other smart pill recipients would see the economic advantage of this, and the unfair gap between the rich and poor would be lessened. But if the priviledged were the only ones to recieve the "cerebral expanding pills" (as is typically the case with beneifical health care) the rest of the country would probably be doomed. Perhaps there would need to be a requiremnet that anyone taking the "smart pill" be also prescribed the "moral/honesty pill" But if that were the case, I am sure that the priveledged "smart pill" recipients would quickly find a a way to block the moral/honesty pill and keep the smart pill from the general public, until such time as the "Godlike"/"mind controlling pill became available.

Nope. I dont have much faith in mankind. Particularly lacking is my faith in government under Dubya. *donning flame retardant suit*

But if a smart pill could really be invented, and made available to all, I do suspectb an honesty/ moral pill should be invented as well and a requirement to recieving smart pill should be also taking honor/moral/ pill.

But this is all a joke ya know. Because natural progression will on its own (without science) weed out the less successful of the species.

Sounds like you need a "down to earth pill." You're pompous acusations about our government are blown way out of porportion. You're long winded response also makes me think you need a good dose of lithium. :imbar
