Haven't been feeling well lately, I'll try to make this short. The middle of August I started feeling dizzy & nauseated, saw my PCP who said it was an inner ear infection & gave me some PRN Antivert..........

September came around, still dizzy, nauseated, & very tired, missed my period, so I figured I was pregnant & made an appointment with my OB/GYN, had some bloodwork that confirmed I was not preg.

Now here we are, middle of October & I continue to be dizzy, nauseated & tired. I also have the dry heaves often.

I did have a miscarrige in Jan. '03, but it was very early in the preg. & I didn't require a D&C, I don't even know if that has anything to do with it?

Any thoughts on what could be going on with me?

My first thought was pregnancy but if that is ruled out I don't know. Has anyone considered a virus such as mono? I'm sorry I can't be more help...get better and keep us posted!

Are you anemic? Any GI problems? Did you have a CBC and panel drawn. Were they normal?

Hope you get this figured out & feel better soon.

I did have a CBC & Chem Profile in September....all were fine????

Get your B12 checked! I bet that's the problem. My mom had the same symptoms and after B12 shots she feels worlds better. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

when was your last head-to-toe physical?

that is my best advice....get one. and be sure you mention these complaints and any other symptoms at that time.

good luck...hope you are feeling better soon.

Your profile says you live near the ocean. Which ocean? Is there any chance that you are enough of a fish-eater that you might have toxic levels of mercury in your system? This is a little-appreciated concern on the West Coast and very few doctors are clued in. I don't want to focus too much on the zebra, but if all your basics are normal (CBC, liver finction, thyroid ,ANA), why not ask to have your mercury level checked? If you are anywhere near San Francisco, check out the findings of Jane Hightower MD.
