I want to be a nurse!! I love nursing!! I want to be a nurse!! Baby, I could go all day saying this. It was only last year had I decided to become a nurse. Before I began high school, I told my parents that I wanted to become a pediatrician. But I later felt that that field didn't suit me well. I was stuck; I didn't know what to do. I was considering real estate, becoming a secretary, and all other careers. Finally, as a sophomore in high school, I was flipping through the channels and I saw *Code Blue-New Orleans* on TLC. This one-hour show answered all of my deep confusions. I didn't want to become a doctor, I wanted to become a nurse. Sure doctors perform operations, diagnose patients, etc...BUT I felt that nurses actually take care of the patients and console them, oOo and so much more. I can't seem to find words to it now, but I'm sure to those who are actually NURSES could fill in those words. Well, I just want to say thanks to ALLLL of the nurses out there. Thank you all for being my inspiration, my drive. I can't wait to begin my road to nursing. Unfortunately I'm only a junior right now. I have another year until I begin my prereqs. This summer I'll be volunteering at a community hospital and a nursing home. Again, I LOVE NURSES!!

I love your attitude. You put a smile on my face.

Well, you certainly made me feel better about the 26 years that I put into nursing. I felt the same way that you do from the time I was 10 years old and had my tonsils taken out. The nurses were so sweet to me. I had two choices in my mind from the time I was little, one a teacher the other a nurse. After age 10, all I wanted to do was be a nurse. Always played hospital and took care of all my dolls. Of course they were much easier to take care of than some patients I have had, but I would not trade it for nothing in the world.

It was the crabby nurses that made me want to be a nurse. :D

LINA! I haven't seen you on here in ages. ;>) PM me if you have any questions about choosing a hospital to volunteer at (we PM'd a while back; I'm in the area) or need help with anything.
