I have NOTHING to do

by inbox Premium Member

LOL, ok that's not true.

But last week, there was a night where I didn't have anything to do.
I purposely found out what was due, a week in advance, and finished
it all. So when the time came rolling around, I had ONE entire 4 hour
evening to myself. What an ODD sensation. To feel like there is nothing
to do.

So I got to thinking. Have I paid the bills? Cleaned the entire house?
Gotten rid of old stuff/junk? Taken out my winter clothes and stored
the rest? Made some meals in advance to put in the freezer? Caught up
on emails, greeting cards, presents, etc? YES.YES.YES.

It was WEIRD you guys. I couldn't even entirely relax because I just felt
like there MUST be something I forgot. Believe me..this is RARE. I usually
have TONS to do.

Yes, I know I can practice NCLEX, etc. But I am brand new, and really don't
know how to apply them yet. We haven't gotten there in our cirriculum.

What else is there to do for times like this? Stuff that people usually get behind
on and should be doing in their spare time? (Ahem, like sharpening up on English. JK!)

Any ideas?

What to do?

RELAX!!! and enjoy those hours where you don't need to do anything.

Watch a movie, take a nap, eat bon bons, take a bubble bath, paint your nails, pamper yourself!

Go to bed and pull the covers over your head. Eventually you will fall asleep and wake up glad that you took the nice nap.

LOL unfortunately I am one of those people who cannot nap during the day. Even if I am able to, and do so, I will be up ALL night. It throws off my sleep.

I am starting to learn how to keep myself in bed on my "off" days. I can now sleep at much as 8.5 hours at a time,. Ha.

Well, if you can't sleep lay there. Get some magazines to look at, or a book to read. Or turn on your bedroom TV or watch a video or listen to the radio. Elevate your footsies. They will thank you for it.

If you do some holiday shopping online, you don't even have to bother with leaving the house. What can be more relaxing than going from website to website buying stuff?
