I have a question

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hi, I am doing a report on the nurse shortage and the reasons as to why I would like to go into nursing. ONe of those reasons is because of the different specialties I can go into. I don't have to stay in one field. I'm trying to make a point in my paper. I would like to find out what everyone thinks about the importance of going into the profession for reasons other than just money.

Thanks

I appreciate it!

:)

In that first posting I started talking about the specialties then the importance of going into the profession besides money. In that post, I would like you to comment on the importance of going into the profession. In this one, I would like you to comment about why you like that you are able to go into different fields and not just stay into one. Also, explain what could be some negatives and positives in just staying in one field.

Thanks

Sorry if I confused anyone!:)

Just reply to your own thread instead of starting another! That saves people time with not having to go to dead threads....:)

Thanks

There are currently several threads running that address these issues. At the top of the screen you can search for old threads or just surf through here. I'm sure you will find what you are looking for.

Ok, so what are you apologizing for? Sorry, but I am a little tired of providing information for yet another student paper. Ok, I am grumpy today, maybe tomorrow I will be more helpful.

Hi Twilson,

Unfortunately, no one can convince you to go into Nursing. You are the only one that can assess why you should choose Nursing as a carreer. I do, however, have a couple of points to make:

1) Money??? What money??? They can't pay us enough for what we do! So it certainly is not a reason for choosing a carrer path in Nursing.

2) Obviously, there's only 1 reason for entering the Profession of Nursing --------- LOVE! You just have to love Nursing (the verb, not the noun). If you're lucky, you'll get a chance to do real nursing, that is, among all the other things we, as Nurses, have to do.

NURSING...LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT! That's exactly what's happening.

Good Luck! ;)

I wasn't asking a question because I wasn't sure if I wanted to go into it. I am just writing a paper on it.
