OMG! I CANNOT believe what I have done! Please give ne your truthful opinion!

I went for my Nursing interview this morning. The interviews (there were 2) remembered me by name. They spoke briefly with me, and remebred me from when I was accepted the first time. (I had to have a class that I did not have so I had to leave the program) Anyway, here is my stupid mistake!

I noticied that the lady kept looking at my right shoulder. I am thinking to myself, well, my strap must have fallen so I figured it was better to let it stay theer than top reach in and pull it up in front fio the other interviewer who was a man. The interview ended and they told me I would have to retake a class that I had pulled a "D" in. Anyway, I go to my car and decide to look in the mirror and that is when I notice that my blouse was on INSIDE OUT!! It is a sheer blouse with a tank that goes underneath and dressy so I did not notice it this am. I had gotten my hair done, nails, etc. and then for this to happen! IT WOULD BE ALMOST FUNNY EXCEPT I AM MORTIFIED! WHAT should I do? Call and explain? Please tell me your Honest opinions!

My honest opinion...I don't think your dress had anything to do with their decision. However, I would probably be mortified too for something that important.

I have this one shirt I am always trying to put on inside out too..it has a very subtle pattern on both sides, no label, and I have worn it more than once only to have to dash to the bathroom and change it :)

Just quickly wanted to say this is so like something that would happen to me. I am sorry it happened, it feels awful. I think I would just let it go, but that is me. If I were to contact them it seems it would only make it worse. IMHO. I would love to know what others have done as well, this did happen to me once. Sorry not to be of help, only empathize. Cadia

I have three or four shirts that LOOK inside out.. that is the style now anyway. Let's just imagine they thought you did it on purpose.

;)

it happens to everyone sometime...next year you will laugh about it

I had a professor who arrived several times wearing her shirt inside-out, and I have always assumed that this was intentional - the style at the time - it was cool

I wouldn't contact them about it

I wouldn't contact them about it, part of being a nurse is being able to "roll with the punches" and not let the 'little things' bother you...............this is a little thing. A funny little thing, but a little thing. I have done it too.......the most memorable time was when I noticed during an argument with my boss that my sweater was on inside out...........really made me feel like I was going to be taken seriously........not...........anyways, sounds like you need to work on your grades more than your wardrobe, that was their concern. Good luck to you!...........if its meant to be, you will get there, just keep plugging along at it.

You have to remember in times and situations like these that we all make mistakes its a part of life and a part of nursing. Maybe she thought you were making a fashion statement. let it go, and do not stress about it.

:wink2:
