$28/hr as PRN nurse-no benefits, no shift differentials- can always pick up 1-2 shifts per week if desired- great way to earn extra money, keep license current, and stay home with my two small children.

Trying to convince my Aunt, who's been an LPN for years, to FINALLY leave her current floor where she's only making $13.35/hr.:( :( :(

NO nurse with many years experience should have to submit to this low wage EVER!

Specializes in ER, Med Surg. ICU, Mgmt. Geri. Hme Care.

OK: I' finding aout that there are so many different salaries depending on level of instruction, experience, location, employers, etc. Here in Uruguay we can't compare our salarieswith yours.

We are not payed in dollars, and our currency is very weak compared to dollar. I would like to know if American RN can live with what they make?, or they need a husband working too in order to pay rent or buy a house or sent their children to college'

jow hard is it to live whith thas incomes.

Here we need 2 jobs, that means 12 hs a day 24 days a month, to deal with normal living. Or having our husband a very well paid job.

RN

2 months (new grad)

teli

$21.55 (lowest pay for nurses in hospital setting in area

Interesting to read the ranges in salaries/hourly wages. I make about $25.00/ hour including shift differential.

1. RN

2. 9 years exp

3. med/surg

4. 22 hr + 10% for evenings + 25% for weekends, also get great benefits, inc 13 sick days and 26 vacation days a year with the VA. I won't say that staffing is always great, but it hasn't been horrible either.
