    I live in IL also and work for a private practice. Depending on where I have to go:

    35 minutes 25 miles south
    1 1/2 hours and 70 miles north
    1 hour and 53 miles east

    Like above poster said - it is very dependent on what they offer and what you will tolerate.

    Takes me about 20 minutes to get to work.

    Sixteen miles door-to-door...all highway!

    one block north, 6 blocks east!!! These are "city blocks" entire city 2 miles wide - 1st St to 24th St. Actually walk it in nice weather/daylight takes less than 10 minutes.

    8 miles = 15 minutes including one redlight and a Mt. Dew stop.

    18.4 miles one way. That can be anywhere from 35 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending on traffic. (Los Angeles)

    3 miles. Due to several traffic lights, takes 10-12 minutes.

    5 miles and 10-12 minutes depending on how many red lights I hit.

    We'll be moving out farther as soon as we sell our place, so I will have a commute of 25 minutes to my current job and 45 minutes to my new job.
