How do I respond?

So, as some know I am unemployed, looking for a new job that is the right fit.

I really don't want bedside unless it is PACU or SDS.

I submitted an application for Clinical Documntation Specialist to a hospital i did clinicals at back int he day.

I have been a ICU nurse for most of my career, then a NM.

So, I get an Email back from the recruiter that says this

"

"I received your resume for clinical documentation specialist, and I am happy to forward it to the hiring manager. However, we are seeking ED nurses and your qualifications are great! I wonder if you'd like to consider a new opportunity with a position in ED?

Please just let me know!"

Well, truth is, I want the Clinical Documentation Specialist position. I would like to interview for that. I do not want to do ED.

This has kind of been the theme lately, I apply for one job, and I am offered an interview for a completely different position.

I want to really express my interest in the Clinical Documentation Position, but I want to lightly turn down the ED position.

Any suggestions on how to word this so I don't **** them off and they truly consider me for the position I applied for?

Were I you, I'd apply for the position in ED. I don't know how badly you need a job, but as your unemployment gap grows, it becomes harder and harder to explain. This may get your foot in the door.

That position may not even exist.

They may just be using it as bait.
