Hemodialysis

Hello, I'm fairly new to dialysis, but one of the old girls was telling about the use of the coil dialyzer, another was saying how they had to mix the bicard and water by hand in hopes to get the conductivity up so the machine would work and the patient would receive a good treatment. And the one was saying how they used male hormones and all thye females would grow lots of facial hair and their voices would change.
But everything is so easy.
Anybody have any strange experiences?
