help! nurse infected with TB

  1. hello there i need help.. i have a friend who is also a nurse.. we had our x-ray together because it is a requirement. but when we received our chest PA result she had a suspicious upper lung haziness.. it could be TB.. would she be able to go abroad if she already cured with this? even though the scar is still there in her upper lobe lung.

    welcome to the site

We can not give medical advice but what I can say if they have received medical treatment it should not have any impact on moving abroad even if all that is left is scarring tissue. I hope she is getting it checked out

If this is truly diagnosed as scar tissue from past TB that was treated and she plans to travel abroad (for a job), I would be sure and take all of my documentation that proves she was treated and statement from the MD of current status, lab tests that may have been done fro procedures etc. A future employer would want that documentation. Shoot, american employers want the same thing. But tests done abroad may be more costly than here, and if not, it is still added cost.
