When people get feverish they can get confused and lose their ability to think rationally....time to take charge and get that stubborn man to the hospital. Good luck!

Wow! sorry for asking. Didn't realize it would upset everyone! but I want to take him but he is refusing. You all know how men can be. He is worried about the money. We don't have insurance and we don't have a family dr. (for me and him) my daughter does. But I cant carry a 200lb man to the car! So that is why I am asking if there is anything else I can do!!! I am worried!! THat is why I am on here!! His temp has dropped to 101 now but I am still not satisfied with that temp. I wouldn't be so worried if it were like 99. but atleast its not 105!!! thanks everyone and sorry to seem like an idiot.

What Stella said. Time to go, no ifs and or buts. 105 you don't mess with. It will shoot back up.

Absolutely it will. If he won't go, call EMS. You think you're worried now, getting the kid to sleep will be the last thing on your mind when he starts in with the febrile seizures. Adults DO NOT just spike a 105 temp, something is very wrong.

Get him to a doc NOW!

wow thanks ruthiegal for your priceless advice. I don't think that any questions are dumb. Don't forget that I am only 27 and don't have anyone to ask. My mom died 6 yrs ago to cancer. So you don't have to be so nasty about it, I have only been married for 4 yrs and a mom for 2. and I am not yet a nurse. The whole reason I want to be a nurse is to POSITIVELY help society. My mom was sick for 7 yrs and had alot of really bad and mean nurses. I vowed to her to help people w/o a chip on my shoulder. I thought that I could come on here and have some comfort from people who care as much as I do, but I guess I am being naive again. Oh well. thanks to everyone else for being tactful and nice (even if you all did think it was a dumb ?) and not picking on me. I appreciate that. We all start from the bottom. I guess with 28 yrs of experience some people forget.

Hon.

Get off the computer. Get your husband to the hospital. Call EMS if you have to. That's what we're all trying to say in the nicest way (mostly) we know.

Worry about the hurt feelings later.

It certainly is hard to 'make' another adult do something he/she doesn't want to do.
I hope he improves soon.
You've been given some good suggestions.
