I hate it when people wont press charges due to all the mental anguish and fear of some kind of retalitory mobbing, but I suppose you can't blame them....Even if they could get rich and quit their job. I just wouldn't want to work for a place with a hidden mentallity like that. What do they do to grandma when the door is closed???

    OMG!

Well, that was a missed opportunity to dare them, grab a witness to see them hold you down under protest...and SUE for big bucks!! It would have been brilliant! What if you could have gotten it on your cellphone video camera?!?! Oh well....

Sorry for the long delay, it's been a buzy week.

So here is the update for now:

The rest of the staff that refused the shot took the oportunity to do research with me. They made a 2 page declination statement that talks about the risks of not taking the shot VS. the risks of taking the shot. It also talked at length about how they have a right to refuse, and it made clear in no uncertain terms that any further attempt at forcing them to accept the vaccine will be considered coercion and assault and will be reported as such. So, satisfy our curiosity. This up date sounds like no one was actually held down after all. So, which is it? What actually did happen?

My personal feeling was that things got exaggerated in the retelling as so often happens. By the time it got to you the story was," they were physically holding people down against their will." When in reality folks were feeling more pressure to take the shot than they knew how to resist.

If you read it all. Two employees WERE apparently forced and held down to take the FLU shot, but they refuse to pursue charges. This unfortunately makes us wonder if these two employees are being forthcoming with the facts. Most of us here know exactly what we think we would be doing if any employer tried to force us to do anything against our will .......and that is RUN out the front door looking for a lawyer.

I did read it all. It is for that reason I am asking. Earlier she was saying employees were being held down. In this latest up date She clearly says that that other employees successfully refused and are only experiencing verbal attempts to force them. She previously stated that employees were not given a chance to refuse because they were held down.
I am simply asking if those two who were forced really were held down. She does not state that this time There is a big difference between being verbally forced and being physically held down.

If you read the whole thing you will see she originally said "3 employees were held down." Now you are saying these two holdouts were held down. She says the others refused.

What's that you say? My eyesight is going bad. You were held down by a long haired transvestite named Emmanuel and forced to receive a flu shot? Inconceivable!
    Thats inconcievable in my book

This really sounds more and more like an urban myth to me

This is a violation against human right. Report them. If everyone stands together then they have power to do something. What are these people like to their residents?

Well, in the short term, she might admit that she's allergic to eggs........ Ordinarily I'm not for lying, but this is abuse, and adult protective services is the agency to contact.
That employer has stretched the limit, and doesn't know the meaning of free choice. The license needs to be taken away from them.
Be sure, though, before calling in the big shots, that the situation is really as described. The local newspaper might like to write an article about it, too.
If having an injection is an issue, the nasal version works........... Next year your mom could go to a Public Health agency, get that and produce a form that says she had it.
