I haven't gone in to do my new-hire paper-work yet, but I was curious to know that if my place of employment is affiliated with a large health care system, will my benefits be the same as the hospitals that are part of the affiliation? The place where I will be working has a web site and page that states their affiliation to this particular health care system with a link to the system site.

You won't know until you get an outline of those benefits from Human Resources. Corporate "affiliations" can mean just about any kind of relationship. Your position might also determine what benes you get.

Possibly not. Even starting new grad pay and differentials can be different from hospital to hospital in a given system on equivalent acuity floors. Each hospital also has its own policies and procedures which ARE different, and each hospital has its own employee handbook. I've never compared the handbooks, but I'm presuming they are different, otherwise why have multiple handbooks?

Okay. Thanks. I'm hoping tuition reimbursement is the same--that would be so very cool.
