I checked yes on the RN application about whether I have been diagnosed with bipolar within the last 5 years. I am so worried now. What if I can't become an RN now after going through all that schooling?

(uh oh, i may be delusional - suppose i can renew my license?:lol2:)

yup! promise you won't steal anything jazzy like htn or those wonderful tasting 81mg orange-flavored baby asa? i know everything else would be safe...:D ;)

I don't think I can relate a person being by polar with someone who steals drugs. That makes no sense. Just because someone is bipolar doesn't mean they like drugs.

I agree. I no direct corelation between someone with BPD and a drug addict. I can see where someone with undiagnosed BPD may abuse drugs to cope with some of the symptoms of BPD.

it sounds to me as though someone knows virtually nothing about bpd if s/he thinks the person /c bpd will automatically steal drugs based upon no other information than the dx of bpd.

trying to connect pedophilia with bpd is almost laughable it's so far off base.

that's sort of like saying i might steal neurontin:eek: because i like the dizziness and buzz it causes when i take my hs dose which is larger. i take neurontin as an add-on to keppra as anti-convulsants.

it would be the mania part that would be worrying the reg. agencies. We have read the occ. posting here, about nurses needing to regulate their meds because they would be unsafe in the manic state.
