Jun 1, '04Thanks again for the prayers. He smiled at me tonight when I left- a good sign. He will be having his crani tomorrow afternoon. His neurosurgeon seems really kind and laid back- isn't that a switch? He's taking all of this better than I thought he would- he's taken homeopathic meds/folk remedies all of his life..not one to take kindly to being in a hospital. The staff have all done a great job with him- especially with Tx's and meds, since he's not being the most compliant patient, I'm sure.

Jun 1, '04my prayers go out to you and your father and his wife sometimes is never rains but what is pours....
my son had memory loss and they did a mri and ct scan and they came up with a dx of brain tumor ///after crani they said no tumor but inflamed arteries in brain....after horrible chem for inflamed arteries they changed dx again....they still don't know what his problem is but it has been 3 years and his short term memory is still very poor but he is prysically ok no residual effect from crani which has me scared to death
again i hope all goes well with your dad -

Jun 5, '04Hi- well, He's recovering slowly but surely after his crani Thursday night. For smoe reason, he is having right sided neuro deficits (weird, because the abscess was on the right)...he also has new onset A fib...I think he may have some vegetation on a valve. Anyway, he's not out of the woods yet, but we're in it for the long haul. Thanks for the prayers- they must've done some good.
