  1. not a legal expert, but you might want to consider talking to a lawyer. in my state sometimes things that are minor can get expunged (is that the way you spell it) if a lawyer files something.

my hubby's misdemeaner assault (barfight) from when he was actively drinking was removed after three years because he went to anger management/counseling with a private shrink, and a lawyer filed paperwork.

i know it's a bit different, but i think checking with a lawyer would just at least let you know what you need to do or if there is anything you can do.

  2. Lawyer.....

Just as a wise patient seeks the advise of a licensed professional for health concerns, a wise defendant seeks the advise of a lawyer. It costs, but less than self treatment in the long run.

  3. No advice here..but my LPN school would let you in no matter what your record. It was up to you to determine if the BON would let you sit for the boards. It appeared they were just looking to get people in the seats and the $$$.

Good luck to you whatever happens. It seems a waste to lose someone over a traffice violation.
  4. Guide
We here at allnurses.com can't give legal advice, and that's what you need in this situation.

Call the law enforcement agency that issued the ticket and ask what your options are. Contact an attorney if you need further advice.

I hope you can find a reasonable solution to your problem and start nursing school on schedule.
