Well.. Not really sure about the BP, I just got whatever they had in the BookStore and it works fine.... As far as Stethoscopes. I have a Littman.. which I am sure most of us do.. Right now, I have the Littman Lightweight.. Which it works fine for me.. When I graduate I hope that my family gets me one of the Cardiology ones.. They are cool ;P

For general use, I highly recommend the Littmann classicII S.E. stethoscope.........very clear, has "floating" diaphragm that makes it so you don't have to turn the bell over to hear the lower frequency sounds....... if you are working w/cardiologist, you might move up to the LIttmann cardiology model, but otherwise the Classic II S.E. is great.......

As far as BP cuff, I just have one I picked up at a uniform store and it works fine........can't remember the brand off the top of my head.

I agree with shelly a good all purpose one at a low price is the Classic 2 SE . I had a littman cardio 2 and liked it very much but I think they dont sell them anymore since the cardio 3 came out

Littmann is the best! I have a Master Classic and will never use anything else. I never let it out of my sight and never let anyone else use it. It cost me 75 bucks. The nice thing about Littmann scopes is that they are rebuildable. You can buy new tubing, a new diaphragm, new earpieces...whatever you need without having to buy a whole new scope.

I use Littman, the best of the best in my opinion. Whatever you do, do not lay it down.

While I've had Littmans, I enjoyed the brand ADC stethoscope much better and the prices are great. The scope I purchased was compared to a Littman Cardiology II and the cost was $89.00 online with free shipping. I recently watched a show where a pediatrician was using a ADC scope. I did a lot of search on the Internet and I have been happy with my choice. I can hear so much more with the ADC.

Here is the web site I purchased my ADC from. The owner of this business is a nurse and very helpful when I emailed him asking for suggestions. I believe I paid eighty and not eighty-nine dollars a little over a year ago and shipping was free. I would have paid the same price for a Littman SE (which I also have) and the difference in acostics/sound is 110% better with the ADC.
