YOU GO FRIEND! I think that's AWESOME that you are making a decision to pursue your dream. I was just telling my kids today that I felt "old"....but the "young'ins" (as we say in the south) likely felt like we know a lot!!

Best of luck in pursuing your dreams

I'm already a Nurse. I've been one for 3 years, an LPN and proud of it. So I will take your wishes as a positive towards my RN! Thank You!

That's so funny, I have been blessed to be an LPN and have just finished RN school...So I KNOW you must already be a wonderful nurse! Good luck and show 'em all what an LPN can do!

You go! I too started out at the bottom...I was CNA, then CMT, then GPN, then LPN, then GN, and now, RN!

Before you take your boards study out of Lippincott, if they still make study books that is. I took classes trying to pass mine, I had a tutor even, I studied Mosby's and NCLEX and finally on the third time I took it, I went out and got a Lippincott book and was still having trouble passing the study questions. But I passed after all the Lippincott books I bought, took 75 questions and just knew I passed and I did!!!! But it was all Lippincott, oh and a Tranxene prior to the test to calm my nerves!

Good luck sweetie; you will do great!

Blessings, Michelle

I just started back up again myself...the way I see it, if we can manage to separate the "real world" nursing from the "by the book" nursing, we'll fly through our bridge to the RN!

If I wouldn't have had a baby in the middle of going back the first time, I'd have had my RN this May, so I'm super excited to be back on track. Of course, trying to do my Micro homework while my two year old is fighting to color in the lab manual is making it a little more challenging this time around :D
