RCpN = Registered Comprehensive Nurse
RGN = Registered General Nurse (prev. hospital based nursing programme)
RPN = Registered Psychiatric Nurse (prev. hospital based nursing programme)
RON = Registered Obstetric Nurse (prev. hospital based nursing programme)
RGON = Registered Obstetric & Psychiatric Nurse (prev. hospital based nursing programme)
RM = Registered Midwife
EN = Enrolled Nurse

Education related quals...
DipNsg. = Diploma Nursing
BN = Bachelor of Nursing
MN = Master of Nursing
BHSc = Bachelor of Health Science [with identified major e.g. Nursing, Paramedicine, Physical Therapy etc]
MHSc = Master of Health Science
BA = Bachelor of Arts [with identified major e.g. Nursing]

Wow - that is a great reference and much appreciated. Although, all those acronyms make my head spin!!

EMT - Emergency Medical Technician
EMT-B - Emergency Medical Technician-Basic
EMT-I - Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate
EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic

Add NR to the front of any of the EMTs for Nationally Registered EMT whatever.
Add CC to the EMT-P for Critical Care EMT-P

There'e also A-CCC for Advanced Certification in Continuity of Care offered by the NBCCC (National Board for Certification in Continuity of Care). This is for Discharge Planners. I am RN, A-CCC
