I have been reading the threads about being dropped from nursing school and was thinking about my own time in school.
I failed health assessment. I got a 73 and needed a 75. That same year, they dropped passing to a 70. I had to sit out a year and go back and try again. I passed. It is something that happens to the best of us. Guess what? I didn't study hard enough for the final exam in that class and deserved to fail, in spite of the injustice I felt at the time.
I know a lot of really good nurses who failed a class in nursing school or failed boards the first time.

Ditto what you said, Lioness. I also failed (barely) health assessment. I decided to take a couple of years off to stay home with my baby (I was pregnant when I failed the class) and then transfered to another school to finish. Sometimes things happen for a reason, I believe.
