I am a RN, currently living in Virginia, moving to northern florida very soon.Looking to meet new people! Would love to hear from any nurses in the Jax/Orange Park/St Augustine area!!!! Any good "scoops" on area hospital??

Just saw your request for information on North Florida - AH my true love. Alas I am now in Louisiana-YUCK. Anyhow, I lived in Jacksonville, Atlantic Beach area until this past September. Great place altho it is growing by leaps and bounds. I worked as a Staff RN at Baptist Med Ctr - Jacksonville in the ICU. Great people - at the time - hospital is typical - just ok. Been keeping up with my old nurse manager and she writes that the staff in ICU has gotten three raises since I left. When I left I had been there for 2 years (started after graduation) and was making 15.60 + 3.25 night diff.

Also, I worked at St. Lukes Hospial in Jacksonville PRN in their ICU. Great place, ok people - all the bells and whistles - affluent patient population.

Agencies in the Jax area are paying anywhere from $30.00 to 32.00 hr. If there is anything else I can help you with, please e mail me: [email protected]

P.S. Be sure and check out Guana Beach which is on A1A between Ponte Vedra and Vero Beach. = It is a paradise.
