I agree with you on the morning part...my husband tells people that I eat a bucket of nails for breakfast daily...I would really have to restrain myself if she was in my face first thing every morning as I left the hospital...YUK!!! I am required to be happy and cheerful from exactly 1900 until 0730 every shift! After that don't come near me...I am not really that bad but OMG! I think I would have to exit through another door if she was there every day...
The REALLY creepy thing is she sits there with a clipboard- I probably have a black mark next to my name stating that I am grumpy in the mornings and don't say good morning in reply...Heh, Heh, if my hospital did the Disney thing I could just claim that I was acting like my favorite dwarf!(funny how most administrators take after Dopey!) I will be at Disney in 9 days and don't have anything against them per se, but they don't belong in hospital administration! Actually I'm feeling creative today so I present to you the 7 Dwarves of Hospital Administration :
    1. Sneaky
    2.Greedy
    3. Lazy
    4. B$#%y
    5. Dopey
    6.Two-Faced
    7.Clueless
Snow White was let go because, even though she did a fine job for the Dwarves, they had a bottom line to think of..and they heard other princesses would work for less!

My hospital hasn't gone so far as to bring Mickey or Donald but for the past month there has been this creepy woman sitting in the main lobby(in scrubs) with this crazy lady grin on her face. When you walk through the doors she chirps "Good Morning!". I think her job is to sit there until the volunteers come in at the info desk and function as a one woman welcoming commitee. I am NOT a morning person so I have to restrain myself from throwing things at her-it's become a point of honor not to even acknowledge she's there. I mean, if she was just ultrafriendly and was doing it because she's nice, fine. But its so insincere the way she says it and I just know it was some corporate pinheads idea to have her sit there.
Say it ain't so!!! Not a Walmart Greeter!!!!!!!!!!

Now that list of the new dwarf's is just plain hysterical...Although most of the administrators that I know are #4...Do you have to learn how to look constipated when you become an administrator? Where in the world do they learn that smile...you know the one where they look like they are in pain because they have to be nice...

I have nothing against Disney. It is a great vacation experience especially with kids in tow, but the thought of them branching out into healthcare facilities and the powers that be falling for it. The employees in the movie section of the indoctrination had Mickey Ears on. I honestly thought I was going to need to see an eye surgeon. I don't think I have ever rolled my eyes so much in my life!!! Causes quite the headache when you use those muscles too much at once!!!

Everyone knows Disney moms are murdered in the first 5 minutes on screen. Is that the message we want to convey?

Or maybe you could start talking to all of your patients in "whale," ;like Dory in Finding Nemo. "Helloooo. I'm the nuuuurrrrrse. My name is Dorrrryyyyyyyyy."
