Thanks guys! I actually got accepted today for the LVN program!! Im very excited to take the next step towards my goal of getting my Ph.D in nursing!
You know what.. I didnt make it into RN program because of a standardized test...on the reading portion... I made an A in Anatomy.. I think I can read!!!
But that is okay... Because Im gonna kick ass and take names..and keep on goin!!

I actually got accepted to the RN program...so wont be doing the whole LVN thing!!! thanks for all the advise!!! Now I need to blog and ask about RN programs!! lol

This wasn't my experience at all. I was an LPN, then an ASN, now a BSN. I also did this with a family of several small children. If a person has the drive they will do it.

Congrats on getting accepted to the RN program! Although, there wouldn't have been anything wrong with going the LVN route, if that's what you would have had to do. A lot of others do it that way.

Even though Baptist was my 1st choice, I'll be going to SAC (for RN) in the evening...just found out that I was accepted there!

Congratulations! I know you got accepted into the RN program, but when I saw your acceptance to the LPN program post, it reminded me of my clinical instructor. She started as an aide, went to get her LPN license, ADN, BSN, MSN, and now has her doctorate. Quite the ladder, but she's an amazing nurse.
