Dell Axim PDA's

  1. I am seriously considering purchasing a PDA and since I already have an account with Dell, I have been looking at their line. Those of you who own this type, or if you know anything about them, please let me know. I've searched the PDA threads and read a lot, but I specifically want to know about this brand. Thanks so much.

    Hi PedsNurse,

I got my Dell Axim last month and I love it!

I got the X3 since I didn't feel that I really had a need to use it to get on the internet. At the time it was on sale for about $250.

Feel free to PM me if you need any more info.

I have a Dell Axim (one of the older styles, I got it about a year and a half ago). I like the newer ones better because they are slimmer. Anyway, mine works just fine.

ipaqs are rated better than dell's pda, save your self the trouble and buy a pda worth while. what you pay for is what you get in electronics. look at reviews in www.pcmag.com or other sites before you buy a pda and make sure it is reliable from critic reviews and user reviews. just my .02

I'm trying to decide between the axim x30 regular or one with wireless capabilities. Have any of you felt that you needed the wireless pda in nursing school? Is it better to use the cable(included) to charge/sync or pay extra and get the cradle? THanks.

I haven't felt the need to use wireless capabilities. Love, love, love my Dell!

I love mine and my dad (who's an engineer) loves his. I've got the cradle, he's got the cable, either would be fine, the cradle is just convenient if you've got a ton of stuff hooked up to find the right cable and charging cord. Definitely go to the Dell Outlet if you get a PDA, with a PDA there's absolutely no need for the personalization that costs more with getting a "new" one. Only difference is that someone else has at some point touched it. Same warranty, same programming, everything's the same.

I've had my Dell since they were first released (over a year and a half ago). I've been very happy with it.
