1. In an agency with all RNs and very few CNAs, who do you delegate to? What do you do when you need help and your CNA is not available?

    in that case you dont have anyone to delegate to.
    if you need help grab another rn or whoever is available.
    sometimes even when i have a cna i work alone...

    When I went on a Med Surg floor I had a patient that needed cleaning. I couldn't find the CNA so the time it took me to find her I just went on and did it myself. If the job was too much I would grab some extra hands. Delegation can be a pain in the ass. You would think some people understand their duties. I personally do not feel I am beneath cleaning, bathing a patient but with so many other duties to do I can't do it all.

    we have some assistants that get mad because my nursing duties interfere with their assisting
