Critical Thinking Defined

Critical thinking involves stepping aside from your own personal beliefs, prejudices, and opinions to sort out the facts and discover the truth, even at the expense of your basic belief system. This is a challenging thought process; but it will take you to new avenues of knowledge and understanding.

REMEMBER...

The object of critical thinking is not to convince you to accept a certain set of beliefs. It is to give you the tools to examine life without bias and discover the truth of anything from a physics question to the wonders of the universe using analytical and critical thinking skills.

I like to call myself a skeptical believer. Like the poster from the X-Files, I want to believe, but I am also reminded of a quotation: "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein

Let's not give in to human stupidity. Let's prove out the truth, even if it is not what we want to believe.
