Completely online ASN degree that I found.

by CRTtoRN

Ok I am a RN and now my husband wants to be one too. So while searching for a school I found an online school called "Must University" And it cost less than 6k to do and a year to complete. Is this too good to be true? Anybody heard this? Its accredited by Accreditation Organization (IAO). Not sure about this. Input anyone??

Completely online- what about clinical? Really sounds shady. What state BON is going to grant a license to someone who has never touched a patient? I have never heard of being accredited by the IAO. Brick and mortar nursing schools schould accredited by NLNAC. I would avoid this scam.
Your husband could look into night and weekend programs if his employment is creating a schedule conflict.

If true that would be awesome. I hope its legit but makes me think of a 12 week paramedic program based out of Nebraska. Way to good to be true? Let's hope not

Well I asked them about clinicals on their online chat and they said you do have to do clinicals in your area. Is there a way to find out of my state accepts this school?

At the very least, ask your state Board of Nursing. There are few places that don't accept, for instance, Excelsior; despite it being a long established distance learning/online program. You want to know that sort of thing before you commit to spending your money.

You should check the school accreditation. Many online schools provide education/training/certifications and even issue diplomas and degrees. however since they have no accreditation the diplomas and degrees are just paper, nothing more.

You should submit a request to the BON licensure evaluator and ask them about the school specifically.

Does no one use Google anymore? Allow me to check this for you...

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS SCHOOL

MUST = Malaysian University of Science & Technology (If you are lucky that is who they really are).

Also, the "accreditation" is from the International Accreditation Organization (IAC). They say they are a member of the Int'l Education Accreditation Organization (IEAC). If you try to link to there the link doesn't work. If you Google IEAC it comes right to the IAC.

Check this website.
