Comfort Food After a L o n g Shift

I find myself craving certain meals after an exceptionally long/stressful shift. None of it is ever healthy!! Tonight was one of those nights. It got me thinking... what comfort food do you crave after a difficult shift?

I'll go first.

I LOVE anything with syrup-- pancakes (especially with chocolate chips!!), waffles, and french toast. That syrup melts away all the stress of the day! My other big-time comfort meal is bacon, eggs, and fried tomatoes. I'm not quite sure why it's all breakfast food...:rolleyes:

I needed pasta after a 12 hour shift. Usually spaghetti with a quickly made fresh tomato sauce with lots of garlic. It used to drive my parents crazy to be smelling those food aromas at 7:30 in the morning. It's all about the carbs I think!

I love stopping at McDonald's for an egg mcmuffin after work. My other pleasure? Omelets!

The other night was a really stressful night and I slightly chuckled to myself "after work I am going to get myself some high fructose corn syrup!"

I really got a chicken tender melt and french fries and a glass of rootbeer from a local Perkins...even though I knew it was bad for me -_-;;

Fried tomatoes- yummy! Add in a fully loaded hotdog, mac n cheese and maybe a slice of pizza, wash it all down with a cherry coke ---heaven! Or at least on my way there!
