Hello all! I am a pre-pre-nursing student and I have been contemplating over what I should do. I recently got accepted into a hospital LVN program and could not be more excited. I just would have to pay about $7,000 out of pocket. I also became an alternate for another program that has pell. The only thing is that no one(with good reason) has declined their position in that class so there is likely no way that I will get in that class whereas it can be paid for with government assistance.

But another thing is that I do not know if I am ready to transition from civilian to nurse yet. I am prepping myself for it by taking first aid at my JC.
The thing is that I currently work retail as an overnight associate and last night while unloading the truck some totes and boxes fell on someone. I rushed to him and saw he was holding his shoulder in pain. I felt helpless

because I only knew CPR and did not know what to do in the specific situation. He filled out the accident report and I later found out that he had a small gash at the back of his head. I asked him if he was okay and he said yes. He stayed the rest of the night and continued to work. I listened to see if he was speaking well and he was and did genuinely seem okay.
After this incident occurred I knew that I was meant to be a nurse. I cared for my fellow man and wanted to do something to ease his pain.

My second thoughts seemed to have disapperred and I am ready to begin school to gain the knowledge to help those in need. I want to know what to do and not feel so helpless for others. I can't wait for school to start.

The only problem is I have to find a way to pay my tuition
