Here in GA, I had to take a written exam, along with a skills exam. The written exam was multiple choice. Along with the skills exam (which was 5 skills, anything from ambulating, making a bed - occupied, empty, bathing..etc), I also had to do the vital signs (BP, T,P, R).

If u post where you've taken the online practice test, I'll be happy to see if the questions are compariable to the state exam I took.

It was from Nursing Assistant Central..My situation is a special one though, because there are no classes within 90 miles of me.The instructor sent me home to study on my own.I am wondering how I am going to learn the hands on skills required.I am fairly confident of my knowledge on the written part. The practice tests seemed a little to easy to be accurate though.

WOW........Why don't u see if u can go to a LTC Facility to learn the skills. Make sure that u do the temp manually though....or perhaps go in a couple of days prior to the exam to practice the skills. I bought a BP Cuff from Walgreens for $19 and practiced on everyone that came thru my door.

Actually I got my books from the person in charge of hiring at the only hospital/LTC unit in our area. She told me that they really need the help and when im ready to take the written test to come and see her.Hopefully she will help me with the skills part.....
