anyone know the number of hours required for the CNA prerequisite in order to apply for the RN program at Maric in SanDiego?

I checked with Maric College in San Diego about their RN program and at that time was told they just wanted the applicant to have some sort of medical background/experience be it their CNA course or whatever. My friend who went thru Maric was an RT so that was good enough for them.

Just give them a call, I'm sure they are happy to answer all your questions. I liked the guy I spoke with because he wasn't too pushy and took no for an answer. His name was Tracey.

Good Luck :)

I spoke with them today and yesterday, they told me once I complete the CNA program I will need at least one month full time or 2 months part time with the CNA certificate(160 hours). Dude, it will fly by so fast its so better than any waiting list! Believe me I am from out of state and could not believe all I found out about Cali nursing.ITS NUTS! But i know it all like the back of my hand - I have investigated all the schools from State to private that are in the SD area and some even in other cities....My brain hurts sometimes going here going there knowing all the requirments to get into a school and then having to know 10 other ones because the schools are all set up different, where I was from they all had the same requirements - we choose 3 schools of choice with 1st being our priorty pick, and if not then when a seat came available at the other school choices, we were in like flin, and at most I heard of was 1yr. (AZ) miss that school system. PS THE RN EXAM IS A NATIONAL TEST SO ONE CAN TAKE IT AND BE LIC. in another state then move to cali and have it transferred to CALI so if you or others have that as a choice....I am almost tempted.....LOL good luck
