Hello all i am new to the board. I am currently enrolled in nursing school and when i was 18 years old got into some trouble with a previous job. I was charged with a misdemeanor breach of trust (2) counts under 1000.00 i requested an expungment but they won't give it to me because i have 2 counts and they consider it a first and second conviction. what i want to know is will i be able to continue persuing my career in nursing with this misdemeanor on my record?

Butterfly82, I would suggest that you write to your state board to find out if you past will affect your future, this way you won't become bitter over investing your time studing for something that society will hold against you. Pose your question as a research question to your state nursing board, provide the situation without using yourself as the subject of your question; stay positive and focused. I believe you will be ok, society is also forgiving of people who go back to school to obtain degrees in fields that will eventually be an asset to society.
