You mean it isn't true? <gasp...>
It has always amazed me what people will believe and accept as gospel simply because
they read it in a newspaper, heard it on TV or at the beauty shop, over the bridge table, and now we have to contend with WebMD graduates. AAARRRUUUGGHHHH!

Where do I have to to get out of this chicken outfit?!

to be honest, the posts of that most recent person kind of unsettled me. i had to stop reading. i was relieved when the moderators removed those posts (that's what happened, right?).

I have not read any medical advice threads recently because I don't have time to read everything - but I do think most people are looking for a little reassurance that things will be ok. In the past I have seen "gentle" reminders about the TOS and then the thread is removed or closed.

I can see how it would be annoying to constantly see them on the site, though.

And everybody knows ER was real! Y'all stop spreading rumors!
lol I actually worked as an "ask a nurse" for a while- I lasted 7 months We could give info to residents of our home state and all the compact states. I know some insurances offer this service as well. I wonder if there is anyway to add a link to some of these services on allnurses home page? (And yes, any question you can imagine I was asked )

I am assuming that you started this thread about my asking about my husbands fever. I apologize, I didn't realize that it was against the rules to ask advice. I guess I just felt like this was a community of similar people. I wasn't a new comer that just logged on for my ?. And honestly I wouldn't b/c I agree that is wrong. I was just worried and had no one else to turn to. I have been a member on this site for a couple of months and have really met some great people and have been able to have fellow students to vent to and worry with. So I wont post another thread like that one. I forgot everything in this world is regulated. But I do understand why, b/c there is always 1 person to take advantage of something good. It wont happen again. Thanks Natalie.

Yes, in all honesty, I DID start the thread after I saw yours, but I had been noticing the trend for a while. I guess I just had to be in the right frame of mind to start the thread, and that was when it happened to be. It wasn't just your thread that caused me to post.
