I would say I am pretty happy overall. Though I am NOT happy with my career. I am always thinking about whether I should change it. I am very happy with my life style. My husband and I decided last year to leave the beach and move where we really wanted to live. Our town is everything we dreamed of so that really makes me happy. If I had a job I loved then I wouldn't need anything else to make me happier. Hopefully one day that will happen.

I'm not happy but it's just my personality. Whenever I change things in my life that I think might make me happy, I'm still not happy. The good thing is I know this about myself and don't take it out on other people. I don't try and blame it on people, places or things. I also don't waste time thinking the grass might be greener. I know that if I change my job/partner/living arrangements, I might miss what I used to have and regret making the change. Knowing this makes me sit still and ride things out.

It's just me.

The secret to happiness is having low standards.

Very happy. I have a job that I love, an employer that is pretty good, a supportive husband who loves me, and three terrific kids. What more could I ask for?

Yes, I'd say I'm happy with my job and my lifestyle. My job as a travel nurse enables me to enjoy my lifestyle of traveling the country, experiencing new places, meeting new people and taking frequent vacations in great places. Travel nursing eliminates some of the negatives of nursing for me (no politics,no commitees, etc).

I also have a grown son in the military of whom I am very proud and I've reached the point where I am responsible for and to noone but myself.

All in all, life is good!

Yep...I'm content-- My 2 teenage sons are well-rounded, 'stay-outta-trouble' kids..Neither one has ever given me a moment of serious drama that parents dread. My husband is good to me..& a good step-dad to my boys. He's hard-working & stays out of trouble, too. I've got open communication lines with my 3 adult siblings & I consider my Mother to be one of my closest friends :)

My faith comforts me during the low times when I take to feeling sorry for myself. I've got a good handful of true friends...a dog & cat that love me :paw: ..and a roof over my head.

I'm so glad that I responded to your post--It truly helps to count our blessings & bring things into perspective from time to time. Thank you!

For me I feel happiest when I am doing something that I love, that also helps others. Sometimes that means sitting at Barnes and Noble for an hour by myself so that I am more cheerful at home:)

You need to give yourself as much consideration as you do others. Treat yourself to some pampering - If money is tight think about contacting your nearest school of cosmetology for a manicure/pedicure or if there is a school of massage therapy near you sign up for a massage. Both of these generally have prices at a fraction of the price of a shop. Treat yourself to a day out with your best friend just browsing and talking over coffee or a treat. The main thing is to take the time for what you enjoy and repeat it on a regular basis.
