There are 7 versions out there. Each version has 3 versions within itself, so the total is 21.

For example: Version 1a, 1b, 1c
Version 2a, 2b, 2c, etc.

You never know what version your school will give you.

Good luck!

When do you retake hesi and did you know that the second test will be different and each version gets harder as you go. some schools allow you to take the test only 2x and some others allow you to take it more than that but you must remediate the last year of school. I suggest that you try a review course a great one that is geared for the hesi is Mrs. Holly's empowerment review. her website is empowerment.ecrater.com and her hesi review is pretty good everyone I know who took her class passed the hesi and her next class is Aug. 9th or 10th keep checking the website or email the site at empowermentreview@comcast.net. Good luck please let me know how things turn out please contact the review site and they can also give you tips on taking the hesi they are pretty nice and helpful. let me know how it works out for you as for myself I will be retaking the hesi in Nov or Dec they don't have an official date set yet.

Betty,
I wish and pray this time you really stick with the hesi book because that will be the only one thing which may help you in the end. I can guarantee because I successfully passed with the high hesi score. Also do as many questions as possible... Best of luck dear!

One more small note, I do not believe the questions will get harder as you go because lot of my classmate got comparatively easy questions in the second attempt than the first one..However, you can not rely on anybody at this point.. your success is completely on your hands..

On July 17th the city colleges gave the hesi exam and no one passed they gave version 3 and the students are out of luck this was the second time they were tested and their only choice is to take their whole 2nd year of school over (and pay again) and then they can take the hesi only 1 more time and if they should fail again they get no diploma or chance to take hesi or nclex. They can try and get into another nursing school but they can not transfer their classes or credits thats why this is unfair the hesi is much harder than the nclex and if you finish nursing school then you should get a chance at the nclex. Instead they get nothing except debt and they never get to become a nurse

This is so true! The school knows if you pass Hesi, you will pass NCLEX. This makes the school pass rate at 100% and makes them more attractive towards future students. They don't care if 1 student pass Hesi, as long as that 1 student pass Nclex = 100%

I am coming from a school which requires 950 to pass the hesi, so I can understand the pain than anyone. I am trying to say to all my fellow mates to focus more on hesi book than anything else rather than focusing on any rumors(no matter they are right or wrong). In my school 95% of the students passed with above 950, most of them had to take it two times though. It could be because of several reasons but HARD WORK WORTH! best of luck!

Yes! The CD is way harder! I got in the 60-70% range on my practice tests and passed HESI with flying colors!

I agree with what nanciepaul said about getting the HESI book and CD. (I assume you mean the Evolve book with studyware CD.) I failed HESI the first time and I was using Saunders and Kaplan. I passed HESI the 2nd time by using the Evolve HESI/NCLEX book and CD (Evolve is the company that makes the HESI test). I hated to buy yet another book, but I'm glad I did because I would not have passed the 2nd time without it. Do every practice test on the CD and look at the rationales! HESI is not exactly the same as NCLEX and I didn't understand what they wanted until I did their questions over and over. Good luck!
