I have been a RN for four years and am looking into doing something different. Being a flight nurse crossed my mind, but I know nothing about it. What additional schooling will I need? Any current flight nurses enjoy/dislike their job? Is it hard to find a job? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Having a solid Critical Care (ICU) and/or Emergent Care (ER) background is definitely beneficial. Also to your advantage would be getting your license as a Paramedic. There are many RN to Paramedic programs that are relatively short...or alternately you can "challenge" the board exams if you feel like you have the know-how (and if it is allowed in your state).
