Also, I was in KSA in my previous life in the publishing world and let me just say it was an eye opener. Segregation in malls, restaurants, public transportation, etc...However, when you ask Saudi women how they feel about the separation they think it's the best because the government is protecting them from the men.
Being an American (of the right shade of skin and this is important over there) can offer you advantages. Also, you might be amazed how far more advanced they are when it comes to medical technology, if you are in the affluent hospital.
