This is an interesting thread. I think I'll keep my username, because with my luck, right after I changed it some dern troll will come in, hijack the username and cause a lot of trouble. Besides, I like mine.

The next time I change my username it will be to alter the credentials from NS to RN.

Gosh golly, if I changed my name I'd probably forget it and never be able tolog on again! I've had this one since the early days of internet chat mIRC etc. My first name starts with "P" and my title was "RN". Therefore: P_RN.
Way back then sometimes someone would think I was visiting with a name like PORN. Bad karma for awhile.

Ha, I decided to go along with the trend and changed my name...I am WitchyRN no longer...now I am SquirrelRN71. Squirrel is a name one of the surgeons called me when I first started out, I think because I was cagey and refused to go along with what he wanted(he did apologize later) but I decided to embrace the nickname..Therefore, I had squirrel stickers on my name badge, on my locker, and even wore a pair of socks to work one day that had squirrels on them.

I changed my name last year from my real name (won't say what ) because I decided I wasn't going to be anyone's whipping girl anymore! Not taking the BS! Standing up for myself!
Also, as mouthy as I was, ******** about my PRN job last year, I could not afford for anyone to recognize me, as I have a very unique spelling to my first name.
I quit that hospital, but I live in a big "small town" if you know what I mean. Can't burn any bridges.
It's a nice reminder to never go back to being a doormat.
