ahhhhh so damn confused!!!!!

Hi everyone! i just registered to the site. Well basically ive been trying different areas in college. Just to see what i like. Im in accounting and i HATE it.so boring. Ive always been attracted to the medical field since i was young ( btw im a male =] ), but i never decided to go into anything medical because i just didnt have the grades in HS =[. Now for a couple of months i have really been thinking about becoming a RN. I really want to work in the ER or something like that ( i LOVE hospitals lol, i was so excited when i broke my ankle last year haha). But would i require a BSN? to work in the ER? Im 19 years old and im at a community college here in maryland. There is a program to get an associates, but i dont think thats enough to get into the ER is it? so i was thinking of getting my pre reqs ( most of which i already have done. Ok now for the part im confused about. ( sorry for the long post guys!) Do i NEED to get an associates to get the BSN? like get the ADN and then go back to a nursing school for a BSN. or can i transfer straight from the comm.college into a nursing school and into the BSN?

I transferred straight from a community college into a 4 year university to get my BSN.

I will be graduating May 16th with my BSN.

You can work in an ER with just your ADN. You are still a Registered Nurse with an Associate's Degree.

The BSN is good to have if you want to go into management or Administration.

You can always get your ADN and then bridge to your BSN later, after you've worked as a RN.

There are so many options, I suggest you go to your school's counseling office to see which road is best for you.

Good luck!
