by lynds80 Feb 26Hi,
I could really use some honest advise.
I've been working on inpatient pysch unit for the last few months part time 8 hr midnight shifts, which is good no issue and Im comfortable there. However I need FT.
I recently was offered a FT med surg job nice large hosptial. Better pay, closer to home, FT etc.
Since I don't know if psych is something I want to do long term should I take the med surg job? Won't med surg open more doors for me???
Any suggestions/advise would be great. Thanks!

- Feb 27 by MeriwhenIf you're not sure about psych for the long haul and you have an opportunity to try something else...go try it!
It will definitely expand your skills, and you can always go back to psych if you find that med/surg isn't your cup of tea.
Congratulations!
