hi all...have a friend who is a nurse, who over the past 6 months or so, noticed some tingling starting in the palm of one hand..lately it has progressed to all 4 extremities....she works nights..recently had head and spinal mris which ruled out cervical disc or compression, ms or brain involvement...she has no pain, but has noticed this tingling in her legs, feet and hands...if she is looking at something and this occurs she doesn t let go of the object, otherwise, she just drops things when it occurs. has been ruled out for carpal tunnel and has a negative lyme titer...just getting started on the neurology trail and has had some emgs...doesnt affect her gross motor skills. seems to be fine motor...ruled out for chronic fatigue and epsteins barr...any suggestions as to what should happen now???

Did she get an ophthalmologic exam (from retinal specialist) as part of determing collagen related disorders such as MS or mysathenia gravis? I am sure neuro considered this, but ophthalmology sometimes picks up weird things others can't detect until further along. Hope they ruled out diabetes. Tingling was one of my first symptoms.
