ACLS for experienced providers

  1. Has anybody taken ACLS for experienced providers? If so, what was it like?

    Thanks!

We hold a course bi-annually at the paramedic service where I part-time, it's a four hour course, (though it rarely takes that long) basically there's an update lecture then test and megacode and you're done.

ACLS for EP is an 8 hour course with expanded scenarios - more in tune with what you would actually see in practice. Also, more in-depth pathophys and pharm. A lot of fun for the experienced ER RN. I really enjoyed it. Just curious - at your facility if you do ACLS/EP than do you have to do regular ACLS also? I teach regular ACLS and am a provider for ACLS/EP. Have fun!

At our hospital if you have renewed more than once, you can recert on the computer. I hate it. I would much rather do it the traditional way.
