About EBN

  1. Hello. I have ever contributed it to this bulletin board several times. This time, I lost a password though I tried to contribute it. Then, it registered again. I am sorry.
@At present, I have interest in EBN. A staff thinks about a problem based on the common scientific basis, and how to think about EBN can act. And, it is thinking with the thing that it is added and decorated with an experience of the nursing person Good afternoon. I have ever contributed it to this bulletin board several times. This time, I lost a password though I tried to contribute it. Then, it registered again. I am sorry.
@At present, I have interest in EBN. A staff thinks about a problem based on the common scientific basis, and how to think about EBN can act. And, it is thinking with the thing that it is added and decorated with an experience of the nursing person.
There are many symptoms which aren't fixed in the sickness of the heart. (It isn't mentioned in the book.) Staff's correspondence is equal in never succeeding, too. I have troubles very much. I am irritated when I face a problem and don't solve it, too.
But, that problem can't be solved fully, and most of the inpatients fall into the morbid conditions. The nurse of my office doesn't solve it scientifically to the patient's problem, but she often copes with it with a patient experience till now. That is cruel, and a patient is sometimes called it. I see that, and think myself ashamed. Is that only a Japanese nurse?
As for the nursing plan as well, there is actual condition that patient's information isn't examined fully and planned. I don't understand that. This time, I did the nursing research which related to EBN. But, is EBN suitable for the patient who has the sickness of the heart? I listened to the opinion more than a staff. The staff of the foreign countries will think how. I want your opinion. I want to provide the nursing which is good for the patient. Only that.
My English is still immature. I am sorry.

I can't understand that you mean it. I am sorry if I gave you an unpleasantness.
  7. by P_RN
Kenshi it is not an unpleasantness. It is a language barrier.

You ask if research and standard treatment is the way to approach a health problem.

When I first read this post, i was what the heck is EBN....and I read further and Kenshi did an admirable job of trying to explain but sometimes the language barrier is a tough thing and then TADAaaaaa!! gwenith came along and helped rescue of Japanese friend and taught me a thing or 2 in the process.....Thanks! There is always something new to learn and you and Kenshi just proved it. Again, ty for teaching me something new.

Hello, I got many opinions, and very happy. But, I noticed that there was a strange part in the sentence which I contributed. Because, the same sentence is repeated twice. I laughed by myself.
@Probably, because Ms-ime of my personal computer didn't work well, it thinks that it is because it was copied from Word. I am really sorry.
My English is still immature. Half of the things that I want to transmit it certainly will bring about misunderstanding. But, I work to study English more and to transmit it.
@I want to know the present condition of EBN of each country. I want myself to tell it if the hospital which introduces EBN in the hospital where France has someone is known. I want to make contact with me. I am waiting. Thank you really.

Welcome, Kenshi. (I hope you don't mind my shortening your name, but if you do, please let me know).

I'm sitll a nursing student, but eveidnce based practice seems to be a very popular direction many hospitals are starting to take.

We just had a lecture from two officers in the military who work in a military hospital. They talked about how until fairly recently EBP/EBN was not something anyone really paid attention to.

Now though, they have a new committee dedicated to researching best practices. The major obstacle they are finding is so many nurses have very many different views on how to perform procedures.

Example: Suctioning. Up until recently everyone used normal saline to supposedly loosen secretions, making it easier to suction. However, the most recent research states this just is not so and the saline is not necessary and keeping humid air near the tracheostomy is by far better practice. So far, there doesn't seem to be a lot of harm in using saline, but more research is being done.

Another obstacle is the "I've always done it this way" mindset. That can be very hard to change. I imagine in the military it would be a lot easier than civilian hospitals unless the hospitals make it policy to research and follow best practice methods.

Whew, sorry this turned out to be such a long post.
