A question about clogs

  1. I'm in the market for a new pair of work shoes. I would really like a pair of clogs but find that the Danskos are not appropriate for me. (I have an arch that is essentially in the "wrong" place, off by about 1/2"--which can be quite painful.) I've been looking at the "clogeze" clogs because I like the prints and am wondering if they are good quality and don't have an arch supprt.

Anyone have any feedback on those shoes? Here's the shoes: clogeze

    Thanks

I have some rockers that I absolutely love!

That's a good price. Birkenstock also makes excellent clogs.

I used to have a pair of birkenstocks...they hurt my feet so bad...don't get me wrong, I love to wear them around the house...but not when I am on my feet for 12 hours. I really like my zcoils, they are soooo comfy...

I just bought a pair of the clogeze on clearance for $25! They are very comfortable. I usually wear birks, but mine had completely worn out and I 'm a little short on cash right now. I thought I would just wear the clogeze for awhile until I could get a new pair of birks, but they are so comfy I think I'll stick with them. At least they don't have to be broke in.

I love my Danskos (can't wear them at work though). I also have an arch that's a little off but I just buy shoes a half size larger than I need for length. I like Merrills for work--not the prettiest shoes, but they're comfortable and I can run in them if I need to.

Those clogeze are adorable! I love the ones with the little stick nurses on 'em.

    Is there an arch support?

About 6 months ago I went out and spent big $$$ on a pair of really high end walking shoes. They were really comfortable, supported my feet well and actually made work a lot easier. But within a few weeks I had severe plantar fasciitis because the arch support was pushing just about 1/2" behind my arch into my heel. I was forced to switch to my old (and I mean OLD) Reeboks with gel inserts to work. Now those faithful Reeboks have given their "soles" for me and deserve a decent, full-honors burial.

When I first read your original post I thought "she could use Reeboks."
I have a slightly "off" arch too, and my old Reeboks are the best, most comfortable shoes I ever got. But I hear a lot of people (who, presumably, do NOT have "off" arches) say that they just can't stand Reeboks and that it hurts their feet (which is how you and I feel about "regular" shoes).
Oooookay... I just used the word "Reeboks" in every sentence so far. So I guess it is obvious what shoes I am in favor of. Is there some reason like a dress code or something that you couldn't wear them at work?
Here is what I suggest: get a new pair of Reeboks AND a pair of clogeze. If you try the clogeze and they don't work you still have the Reeboks to fall back on. Also, you will probably know within a week if the clogeze won't work for you and then they will still be "like new" so you could probably sell them to a coworker to get some of your money back since they are such a popular new item. Or! They might even have some sort of "money back if not completely satisfied" thing.
Well, here I am babbling on and on because I haven't had my coffee yet. I must be getting off to work now.

My old shoes are Reeboks. I was just thinking about getting a clog because I remember having a pair when I was a teen and just about lived in them.

I guess when all else fails, I could go back to Reeboks again.

    Thanks
