Yes, nurses eat their young

Everyone knows about this

But nothing is done

For some, nursing is a right

For the experienced, the license you hold do not mean you can go on solo flight

As an advocate, I have you on my sight

If you are not safe, I may say something you may think is trite

A Limerick for the (Delicious) Know-It-All New Nurse

So you think your preceptor a hack,

for harping on skills that you lack.

When your patient is dyin'

Please don't come a-cryin'

When you don't know V. fib from V. tach.

:cheeky:

(uhhh...should we shock 'em? Anyone...? Bueller?..................Bueller?)

PSA: I am, in fact, a new nurse. ;)

Thought v.fib and v.tach may be mixed

No need for a angry tic

Problem is lack of knowledge

so teach! do not punish!

For me to learn you need not be a b*tch

There once was a nooby named nurse.

Whose day could have not gone much worse.

She had a quick question,

that she was very afraid to mention.

Along came a crusty ol' bat

who still wore her starched hat.

Nurse thought "Should I ask?"

She arose to the task. And ask-ED.

The bat stopped to converse

with this nurse whose shift couldn't get worse.

She answered her questions over some tea,

Even though you might not have thought it likely.

I come with no judgements you see

For newbie I must break thee

The world is not kind

And you must come prepared

Otherwise it will have you on allnurses.com

Saying "why iam leaving the nursing field "

So soldier, "This We'll Defend"

We fight this fight together

To the very end.

For all the nurses who feel "stuck" or in a rut:

Now, voyager, sail thou forth, to seek and find."

This thread is interesting for sure

Of the trials and tribulations endure

This is all quite witty

This cool little ditty

Cause where you are now we once were.

So do look back at this thread

and how to sleep in the bed

we made it, and to not be a snob

perhaps prose could be our new job.

Love it! Very clever!

With a new nurse,

you line your purse.

This made me LOL. :roflmao:
