2 weeks too long for interview callback?....

Nurses General Nursing

Hey everyone! I had an interview on 05/12/2016 and the woman who interviewed me said the recruiter would be in contact with me within 1 to 2 weeks to let me know if I have been chosen for the position (or not chosen) since she had more people to interview. The first week has passed and I haven't heard anything yet as of today (05/22/2016). The interview was with 2 nurse managers and I thought it went pretty well! I just didn't know if this is "normal" to have to wait up to 2 weeks to get a callback (whether positive or negative) from a job interview? It's at a very large, busy hospital in downtown Houston.

I mean I'm getting a callback regardless, I just didn't know if the timespan was too lengthy and is most likely a negative thing.

Thanks!

It's been 10 actual days. You need to realize that 1-2 weeks means BUSINESS days. That means 5/26 would be the soonest you would get a response.

The bigger the facility.. the longer it takes to get a response. HR is notoriously slow to put an offer together. I have waited months for a response.

I know it is hard to wait.. but there is nothing negative so far.

Best of luck! Let us know how it went.

call at the 14 day mark :)

if it's a big facility they could forget about you because they are interviewing so many people and pick another nurse who was a more recent interview....

I believe in follow up calls/ emails...

In my job I was waiting and waiting on background check and I thought, wow this takes forever... then they emailed ME saying why I hadn't responded.... I never got their email lol... Luckily I got the job yay....
